Back in America.

Thanks for all of your prayers. I have experienced God as my healer this week and have made it all the way home to California without a hitch. Before that, however things were a little bit crazy. I had been hospitalized a few weeks ago, but after being treated for malaria and given medicine for ulcers I was feeling fine, but not totally back to normal. Then last Tuesday I started feeling sick again and went to bring Willy dinner in the hospital. When I was there I started having severe stomach pains and was admitted. The doctors in Kitale ordered a few scans and tests, but couldn’t find the problem, so I was given a lot of medicine at once that caused me to start shaking, lose strength and have difficulty walking and talking plus the pain that brought me there in the first place.

I am thankful for having such a great group of people surrounding me in Kenya that saw that I was in need and stepped in. I was getting worse at the hospital in Kitale, so they loaded me up in the car and transferred me to a hospital in Eldoret where the doctors are more reliable. In Eldoret they ran a few more tests and gave me medicine and lots of IV fluids and I was much better after a few days there.

Also a special thanks to my mom and Misha for coming all the way to Kenya just to escort me back home. Now I am feeling much better, but I have been hospitalized three times since May, so I am back in America for a little while to figure out what the problem is before heading back to Kenya.

Thanks to everyone for all of their concern, prayers and love. Please continue to pray for my health and that the doctors can find the real problem and I can get back to the Kenya and the kids.

God bless and heal you, Sammy…. I’m so sorry to hear of your health troubles. I’ll remember you in my prayers, and look forward to hearing that you are doing much better very soon. I know that children at the Precious Kids Center must miss you very much. I’m sure your parents and family are very happy to have you home with them, and are relieved to know that you will be treated here in the U.S. until you are well. Be strong….. Kim Chiurazzi
